Monitoring Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Implement, configure, and maintain APM tools such as Dynatrace, ITM, and SCOM to monitor applications and infrastructure.
  • Monitor system performance, application response times, and other key metrics to identify and resolve issues proactively.
  • Analyze performance data and provide insights to improve system performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve application and infrastructure issues.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports for performance monitoring and analysis.
  • Provide support and training to IT teams on the use of monitoring tools and best practices.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in application performance monitoring and optimization.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond to performance incidents as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience working with application performance monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, ITM, or SCOM.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, applications, and performance monitoring concepts.
  • Experience with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their monitoring tools.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation and data analysis.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in relevant monitoring tools or technologies (e.g., Dynatrace Certified Associate, ITM Certified Professional).
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools such as CI/CD, Jenkins, or Docker.
