What are we looking for in our Financial Analyst?

Russell Tobin's client, a global international family entertainment and media enterprise company, is hiring a Financial Analyst to work in Burbank, CA

Employment Type: Contract/Hybrid

Location: Burbank, CA

Pay rate: $82-$85, DOE

Responsibilities:

  • Manage monthly/quarterly close, including entries, uploads to SAP/COGNOS and variance explanations
  • Develop and manage allocation model, including communication with regional clients
  • Drive collection of inputs from tech leaders and operations partners to inform forecast and close
  • Prepare and analyze complex budgets, plans, financial statements and/or reports, identify risks and opportunities, and ensure compliance with reporting requirements
  • Collaborate with Accounting on the latest variance analysis and close entries
  • Develop and present financial analysis for Technology partners
  • Contribute to presentations for review with senior leaders
  • Be part of a project team to enable the next company initiative

 Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting
  • SAP finance experience in modeling allocation.
  • Must be strong in Excel and be comfortable in communicating with many internal stakeholders.
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • Collaborative mindset combined with ability to work independently
  • Proven ability to manage multiple deliverables in a fast paced environment
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skillset
  • Intellectual curiosity Education

Nice to have:

  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, SAP & COGNOS preferred
