Senior Manager Casino Operations

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for management and oversite of day-to-day casino and arcade operations of all ships, working directly with a team of fleet personnel to achieve and exceed budgeted targets. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to maximize casino revenue, enhance guest experience, and achieve operational objectives.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Travel frequently to ships to observe, maintain and enhance day to day casino operations; investigate and identify all potential revenue opportunities for casino operational activities.
  • Work closely with the Fleet Managers Casino Operations operational issues and implementation of new products and policies.
  • Manage budgetary goals, monitor financial performance, and implement cost-effective measures to optimize profitability.
  • Ensure ship casinos are adequately supplied in a timely manner, with all necessary equipment, by coordinating with the ships and the Purchasing department.
  • Oversee the layout, design, and organization of the gaming floor to optimize traffic flow, game mix, and revenue generation.
  • Ensure onboard staff adheres to department policies and procedures; routinely reviews policies and procedures and makes recommendations for improvement.
  • Meet with onboard management and staff to discuss and assess casino operational concerns; report any issues/concerns to Casino leadership for corrective action.
  • Lead and mentor a shipboard casino team members; perform written/verbal performance evaluations, scheduling and staff utilization.
  • Stay acquainted with emerging technologies and trends in the gaming industry and implement innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and guest experience.
  • Perform written/verbal performance evaluations, promotion recommendations and disciplinary actions as necessary.
  • Compile and produce operational reports on shipboard casino operations for Senior Director of Gaming Operations. Analyzes tables and slot results and makes recommendations for improvement.
  • Perform other job related duties as needed.


QUALIFICATIONS

DEGREE TYPE: Bachelor's Degree

FIELD(S) OF STUDY: Business Administration or relevant field and/or combination of education and experience.


EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 years of experience at a management level for casino operations required.


COMPETENCIES/SKILLS:

  • Strategic planner with sound judgment, analytical ability, and operational focus.
  • Interpersonal skills both written and oral and ability to interface and maintain effective relationships internally and externally.
  • Project and time management.
  • Familiarity with slot and table operations with a clear understanding of the underlying math for all aspects of the casino operations.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel to calculate advanced formulas, Pivot Tables, and CAD.
