Insight Global is looking for a Systems Engineer for a large customer in the Detroit area. The Systems Engineer is a key role within the engineering team, focused on developing a vehicle architecture to satisfy requirements, derive lower-level requirements, and define interfaces with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) best practices within the context of Lethality related subsystems. The Model Based Systems Engineer-Lethality is responsible for delivering the highest levels of performance to the platform and crew for the Next Generation Combat Vehicle's Mechanized Infantry Combat Vehicle (MICV) program. This role establishes and maintains the model-based product architecture and design within a comprehensive SySML model. This includes requirements, structure, behaviors, interfaces, parametrics, and early verification with simulation.


Must Haves:

  • Bachelors of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Aerospace Engineering
  • 3-5 years experience in systems engineering on DoD programs with a focus in lethality
  • Experience in Requirements development
  • Experience using SysML and Cameo for system modeling

Plusses:

  • Currently holds or has the ability to obtain SECRET US Defense clearance desired
  • Knowledge of Military Standards and regulations desired
  • Familiarity with Systems Engineering Standards/Processes ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288
  • Direct experience using Magic Draw Cameo tool suite
  • Direct experience using DOORS Next Gen
  • MSc Engineering (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Computer, Management)
  • OMG Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP) certification or INCOSE System Engineering Professional Certification (ASEP/CSEP/ESEP)
