Mechatronics Engineer

Part of the Zapi Group, BlueBotics is an international Swiss company, headquartered in the Lausanne area. With over 20 years of experience in our field, we have achieved global recognition thanks to our innovative, but proven and reliable autonomous navigation technology. The Systems Engineering team is in charge of helping our customers around the world integrating our product into their vehicles, support for onsite commissioning, training, and all other tasks related to customer support. It also handles mechatronics R&D tasks. The team is composed of about 15 versatile mechatronics engineers, on 3 different sites (Switzerland, China, USA). We are searching for an additional engineer based in the USA.

Support Activities

- Advise customers for robot design and choice of components

- Integrate and configure our product in customer’s robots

- Install robotic fleets at end-user site

- Train our customers to use our products

- Remotely support our customers with phone and remote access

- Support interventions and system updates at customer sites

- Bring back feedback to R&D team

- Report to and interact with sales and project management teams

- Support internal activities at BlueBotics

- On-call duty? R&D activities

- Review electrical designs

- Configure and program motor drives and safety PLCs with scripting languages

- Test and validate robots

- Test and validate new components (sensors, motor drives, batteries, etc…)

- Write articles for our documentation and manuals

- Possibility to do electrical, mechanical and software developments

Function: Systems Engineer

Languages: Full professional proficiency in English. French is a plus. Additional languages are welcome.

Profile:

• BS or MS in Mechatronics, Robotics or equivalent
• Competences in mechatronic systems, electronics/electricity, mechanics & software
• Communicative and motivated by teamwork.
• Enthusiastic, organized and attentive to detail
• Dynamic, autonomous and able to handle priorities.
• Analytical, rigorous and solution oriented
• Motivated to travel regularly (40-60%)
• Good presentation skills
