Research Consultant

The IAIABC is seeking a Research Consultant to assist with workers' compensation research projects. The Consultant will serve under the direction of the IAIABC Executive Director and will be an independent contractor with the IAIABC. The Research Consultant will primarly work on the IAIABC's WorkCompare Database, an interactive database that enhances inter-jurisdictional searches and comparisons on key workers' compensation policy and regulatory issues.
Duties:
- Conduct research to update IAIABC WorkCompare Database
- Participate in development of new tables for IAIABC WorkCompare Database
- Assist in the development of research questions and statements
- Assist in the development of new research projects as well as supporting ongoing IAIABC research projects
- Review third party research responses to ensure accuracy and follow up as needed
- Conduct outreach to and follow up with research contacts
- Utilize data presentation methods and tools to share research findings with IAIABC membership
Experience:
- Must have 5+ years of general workers' compensation experience
- Must have 5+ years of research experience
About the Position:
- This is an independent contractor position; the Consultant will not be an employee of the IAIABC.
- This position is for a limited number of hours in 2024 (approximately 50-75 hours total) and work may be extended past 2024.
- Compensation will be on a bi-weekly, hourly basis.
- Consultant will not be currently employed by a government agency.
- This position is fully remote. Consultant must have a productive remote workspace with high-speed internet.
