Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Lab Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in prototype development and mechanical testing within our engineering lab.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct mechanical testing using specialized equipment to evaluate the performance and reliability of prototypes, focusing on medical hardware applications.
  • Follow validation protocols and procedures to ensure prototypes meet specified criteria and standards.
  • Apply strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve mechanical issues encountered during prototype development and testing.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of design iterations, test results, and project progress using document control processes.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers and designers, to discuss designs, convey ideas, and report findings.
  • Demonstrate precision and attention to detail in all aspects of prototype fabrication, testing, and documentation.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Uphold high-quality and reliability standards in all lab activities, ensuring ethical conduct in handling proprietary and sensitive information.


Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field.
  • Familiarity with mechanical testing methods and equipment for evaluating prototype performance and reliability.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to troubleshooting mechanical issues.
  • Excellent documentation skills to maintain accurate records of design changes, test results, and project milestones.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities while maintaining attention to detail and precision.
