About the position


As the Quality Assurance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality across all facets of our operations. From overseeing compliance with industry regulations to spearheading process improvement initiatives, you will lead a dedicated team to uphold our commitment to excellence.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage and mentor the Quality team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Develop training programs and set clear expectations to enhance team performance and support our quality systems.
  • Provide expert guidance on ISO, SQF, GMP, and IMS compliance, ensuring adherence to site-specific requirements.
  • Act as the Quality Systems Management Representative, maintaining and updating certification status.
  • Collaborate with department and facility managers to ensure alignment with quality standards, including work instructions, procedures, and documentation control.
  • Oversee internal audits and manage all aspects of third-party certification audits, regulatory audits, and customer audits.
  • Lead the Quality team in providing support services for New Product Development, including product specification development and prevention planning.
  • Facilitate quality-related activities in design reviews and statistical studies.
  • Direct the development and implementation of process control plans for manufacturing, including SPC and capability studies.
  • Lead CA/PA investigations, utilizing root cause analysis tools and collaborating with customers on issue resolution.
  • Develop and deliver training on statistical tools, systems thinking, and root cause corrective action to process leaders and team members.
  • Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organization.


Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Engineering, Quality, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Technology, or Industrial Management).
  • Three years of experience in quality engineering, process engineering, or equivalent roles in a manufacturing environment.
  • Two years of formal experience in ISO and GMP certification standards.
  • For sites producing food packaging, two years of Food Safety experience, HACCP, and GFSI certification (SQF preferred).
  • Proficiency in statistical tools for problem-solving, process measurement, and improvement.
  • Familiarity with SPC hardware and software for process measurement studies and analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Active involvement in professional quality organizations such as ASQ.
  • Prior experience in the plastics or packaging industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Understanding of GMPs, FDA regulations, SOP implementation, and quality control principles.
  • Ability to interact effectively with customers, vendors, and third-party auditors.
