Shifts: Days, Evening, Overnight (Evenings and Overnights are biggest need)

MUST HAVE: INPATIENT HOSPITAL EXPERIENCE

Job Summary: We are seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support Pharmacy Technicians in completing routine tasks essential for the smooth operation of our pharmacy. This role involves assisting with medication delivery, conducting medication expiration date inspections, handling medication replenishment, ensuring cleanliness, and assisting with various retail pharmacy tasks.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Medication Delivery:
  • Perform Batch and Off Batch Production Run Delivery.
  • Execute Batch Production Run Delivery with Medication Cassettes.
  • Facilitate Meds to Beds Delivery from Retail Pharmacy.
  1. Medication Expiration Date Inspection:
  • Conduct thorough Medication Expiration Date Inspections in the Pharmacy Department, Nursing Units, and Ambulatory Care Site.
  1. Receiver/Medication Replenishment:
  • Receive purchased medications from Manufacturers and Wholesalers.
  • Replenish medications and supplies to pharmacy medication storage shelves, Pyxis MedStation® ES, and surgical centers.
  • Retrieve medications from Medication Storage Locations during Pharmaceutical Recalls.
  • Investigate and correct Pyxis MedStation® ES malfunctions.
  1. Cleaning:
  • Perform regular cleaning of medication storage shelves, bins, refrigerators, and Pyxis MedStations.
  1. Retail Pharmacy:
  • Assist in receiving incoming inventory.
  • Operate as a Register/Cashier when needed.
  • Support in Patient Triage.
  • Answer incoming phone calls.

Skills Required:

  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in using the Windows operating system.

Education:

  • Required: High School diploma or GED equivalent.
