Seize the opportunity to lead a team as the Manufacturing Engineering Manager at a cutting-edge, rapidly expanding company in the global waste and recycling industry.


In the last two years, our client has grown 300%, adding over 300 new employees. You'll play a pivotal role in driving the innovative production and development of high-quality metal products.


Our client engineers and manufacturers high quality trash chute systems for multi-story residential construction, allowing large communities to have robust waste services which include recycling and organic waste. Our client provides the entire Chute system from access doors to sorters to apartment style compactors.


In this role, you'll work closely with the Director of Engineering, managing a team of 4 to 6 engineers responsible for the compaction equipment manufacturing and design. This individual will also oversee the Quality Engineers. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of architecture and structural design principles, coupled with a proven track record in managing engineering teams


Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Lead and guide the engineering team in the design and manufacturing of Trash and Laundry Chute materials and equipment.
  • Product Development: Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from conceptualization to production, ensuring that all design specifications and engineering standards are met.
  • Material Selection and Testing: Collaborate across departments to ensure material selection aligns with safety, durability, and cost-effectiveness standards.
  • Structural Design: Innovate structural solutions that integrate seamlessly with various building architectures.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement protocols and conduct inspections for product quality and reliability.
  • Project Management: Plan, budget, and allocate resources to achieve project goals efficiently.


Candidate Profile:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Professional Experience: 5+ years in manufacturing, with expertise in designing and producing metal products.
  • Management Experience: At least 5 years of experience leading engineering teams.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks/AutoCAD), problem-solving methodologies, and managing both low-volume/high-mix environment
  • Personal Attributes: Excellent communication skills, innovative thinking, and strong leadership qualities.
