Construction Superintendent

This role is an onsite role based out of the Roslindale area, and there is travel to job sites via a company provided vehicle and gas card. Many of our projects occur in the Greater-Boston area.


Responsibilities:

  • Construction Superintendent, you are directly involved in all operational processes for heavy highway, road construction and civil construction projects.
  • In collaboration with the Superintendent and Project Manager, you will support the direction of project resources to maintain schedule and production.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the construction site
  • Supervise subcontractors and construction workers
  • Conduct quality control inspections
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics
  • Create and manage project schedules
  • Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance, including OSHA standards
  • Monitor project progress and report updates to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with project managers to meet objectives
  • This role will require critical real-time problem solving to maintain contract compliance and quality control.
  • You will be expected to represent the project and company’s interests to Engineers, Owners, and Inspectors.
  • Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents\
  • Supervise subcontractors and vendors
  • Utilize construction management software for project tracking
  • Assist in managing project budgets and contracts


Required Experience:

  • (3-10+) years in construction leadership, supervisory role or superintendent role.
  • Heavy highway, road, bridge or civil construction experience is preferred
  • OSHA 10
  • Construction Management or Civil Engineering Degree Preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Experience in construction
  • Need to be able to thrive in a High Performance Work Environment, Self-Motivating, Problem Solving Culture.
