What are we looking for in our Operational Buyer?

Russell Tobin & Associates is supporting an exciting biotechnology organization that has an opening for an Operational Buyer near Vacaville, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Provide buying service to specific employees required indirect goods/services
  • Ensure all indirect third party spend goes through the relevant buying channel and internal review
  • Cooperate closely with accounts payable to resolve invoice queries and other queries.
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods and services
  • Support Strategic Buyers in negotiating low value contracts with suppliers
  • Support automation of Purchase Requisition and Purchase Order processes
  • Maintain relevant data fields in SAP (e.g. delivery dates and supplier order confirmations)

Requirements

  • Expeirence and knowledge of both Operational Procurement and Purchasing of indirect goods/services and CAPEX
  • Experience carrying out 3-Bids and a buy via SAP and/or Ariba
  • Experience managing suppliers
  • Hands on experience of using SAP ERP and SAP Ariba in a purchasing/procurement role
  • Must be able to manage several priorities simultaneously
  • Customer service mindset
  • Positive attitude

 

Additional Notes:

  • 100% onsite position
  • Position type: 10+ month contract
  • Pay rate range approved: $31-39/hr depending on experience

 

 

Must be authorized to work in the United States.
