Education:

High school diploma or GED

Preferred:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or related field

Essential Qualifications:

Written and verbal fluency in Japanese and English, excellent communication and writing skills

Japanese/ English business language skills

Translator/interpreter experience in a business/ technical environment, manufacturing industry preferred

Ability to translate quickly and accurately

Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word

Responsibilities:

Interpret between Japanese expats and local staff

Provide interpretation for various onsite meetings as wells as telephone and web conferences

Translate technical and non-technical documents including policies, instructions, and manuals when necessary

Compose and translate emails, reports, etc.

Required to translate both Japanese to English and English to Japanese

Other duties may be assigned by management
