Role : Powertrain Triage Engineer

Location : Auburn Hills, MI Onsite

Experience : 6- 12 years of experience

Client : TCS

Duration: Full-time

Visa: USC, GC


Job Description

· Basic understanding of BEV, HEV, and PHEV architectures

· Experience in triage or testing of Powertrain or Electrified Powertrain applications.

· Experience in analyzing data and interpreting results.

· Hands on experience with ETAS INCA, Vector CANalyzer, VFLASH etc.

· Basic knowledge of microcontrollers

· Basic understanding of electrical and automotive engineering


2 – 3 years

  • Triage, commissioning and testing of internal combustion and high voltage vehicle propulsion systems.
  • Analyzing current issues at a propulsion system level and eventual issues coming from interaction with other nodes in the vehicle development process
  • Responsible for performing powertrain debugging and investigating software/calibration issues on pre-production vehicles.
  • Perform first level analysis for each issue including data collection and data analysis.
  • Coordinate with the stakeholders like vehicle build team, SW/C alibrators, EE wiring team to resolve the issues.
  • Provide structured feedback on the issues that are triaged to the immediate supervisors and other stakeholders.
  • Coordination experience with other stake holders for data gathering/ resolution
