Looking for Wireless Transport Engineer in Annapolis Junction, MD (Hybrid)


Job Duties:

  • Project Management: Develop and manage interconnect implementation plans for various technologies like 5G, CRAN, VRAN, MEC, and small cell deployments.
  • Circuit Orders: Place orders with Local Exchange Carriers for telecom services such as dark fiber, TLS, EOS, and EBH.
  • Documentation & Tracking: Maintain documentation of transport circuits, track order statuses, and ensure timely completion.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with vendors and cross-functional teams to meet project milestones.
  • Design & Implementation: Plan, design, and implement transport technologies supporting the 5G network rollout.
  • Reporting & Forecasting: Attend project update meetings, track progress, and manage forecasts to ensure growth demands are met.


Required Skills:

  • Experience: 5-10 years in customer delivery and SW development projects, with a focus on transport engineering and telecom.
  • Proficiency in Tools: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google Sheets, Docs, and database management.
  • Skills: Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
  • Knowledge: Wireless engineering, cellular telecom industry, packet core, VNF concepts, 4G/5G, Cloud migration, AWS integration, and IMS/SDL concepts.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills and English fluency required.
  • Independent: Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in dynamic environments.
  • Decision-Making & Planning: Strong decision-making, organization, and planning skills.


Desired Skills:

  • Degree: Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience: Knowledge of XNG/Granite circuit database, ASR ordering systems, interconnect circuit types (TLS, EMUX, Dark Fiber, EOS), wavelength division multiplexing, IPV4/IPV6, and microwave technology.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of wireless services (4G/5G), centralized RAN, and interconnections in urban environments.


Education/Certifications:

College degree preferred.
