Warehouse Supervisor

The Warehouse Supervisor has responsibility for performance management and day-to-day coaching.
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily direction to warehouse employees who perform work in shipping, receiving, loading, and unloading trucks, stocking, picking, packing and palletizing finished products, ensuring efficient operations and processes.
- Communicate with staff and employees to drive alignment and consistency to goals and company objectives.
- Manage performance, productivity, attendance, quality, and housekeeping expectations and driver personal accountability.
- Address performance problems, recognition, and provide coaching where appropriate.
- Ensure policies and work practices are administered in a fair and consistent fashion.
- Ensure a continuous focus is placed on process improvement and reduction of waste.
- Empower and encourage employees to continually evaluate and improve daily processes.
- Ensure a safety-driven culture.
- Ensure expectations are clearly articulated, safe work practices are adhered to, and hold employees accountable for safety infractions.
- Investigate safety related issues or violations.
Experience and Qualifications:
- 3 years of progressive warehousing experience with 1 year of supervisory experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to read, write and speak the English and Spanish (preferred) language to communicate with employees, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straightforward, and professional manner.
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office.
- Must be able to plan and organize work schedules.
- Must be able to communicate well, coach, lead, and empower people.
- Must be able to drive accountability, resolve conflict, and manage performance expectations.
- Must be able to apply situational leadership techniques in a changing team environment.
- Must be able to resolve problems and troubleshoot.
- Must be able to use creativity to seek quality solutions and process improvements while keeping in mind the needs of the business.
- Must be able to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
- Must be able to anticipate the needs of internal and external customers and is self-directed in achieving results.
- Must be able to work any shift, as needed.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
