Position: AWS Software Engineer


We are seeking a talented AWS Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting a critical business initiative aimed at modernizing a mainframe service. You will work on purely backend development, leveraging Node.js, AWS services (including step functions and lambdas), and ensuring that the new service is built and optimized on the AWS platform.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design scalable, reliable, and secure solutions.
  • Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js, AWS Lambda, and other AWS services.
  • Design and implement AWS Step Functions for orchestration of complex workflows.
  • Optimize AWS infrastructure for performance, cost, and scalability.
  • Ensure code quality through unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews.
  • Work closely with architects and technical leads to implement best practices for AWS services.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum practices for iterative development and delivery.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a software engineer, preferably with a focus on AWS services.
  • Strong programming skills in Node.js and experience with AWS Lambda.
  • Knowledge of AWS infrastructure, including EC2, S3, RDS, and IAM.
  • Experience with AWS Step Functions and other serverless technologies.
  • Familiarity with modernizing legacy systems and migrating to the cloud is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
