Software Developer-System Modernization (Onsite)

Because we value team building and collaboration, this role requires onsite work at our headquarters in Monroe, WI, Monday-Friday.

What You’ll Do:

As a Software Developer working on System Modernization, your primary role encompasses not only maintaining and enhancing existing COBOL and JCL code but actively participating in the modernization journey. You will collaborate with a dynamic team of developers and support staff to ensure the seamless operation of critical legacy systems.

Embracing a forward-looking approach, this role offers substantial opportunities to engage with cutting-edge technologies, particularly in the AWS cloud services environment. Your involvement in the modernization process will expose you to modern scripting languages like Python, Java, and SQL, allowing you to contribute to the creation of new services and systems. This ensures that you'll stay abreast of the latest tech stack, striking a balance between legacy systems and contemporary technological advancements.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or related field.

• 3+ years of experience in a combination COBOL, JCL, Python, SQL, and other related software is preferred

• Experience with client-server applications, web-based applications, software integration, and Database design.

• Knowledge of Java, ETL-ELT, and AWS is helpful

• Knowledge of data processing

• Proven ability to master new technologies

• Excellent communication, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong analytical capabilities with a creative and innovative approach to solutions

• Ability to ensure that solutions are secure, efficient, scalable, and supportable

• Ability to communicate in business terms and build a strong relationship with stakeholders
