CNC Machinist

As a CNC Machinist you will set up, operate, control, adjust, periodically program and perform work on 3, 4 or 5 axis CNC machines. This person will perform highly diversified and complex contour milling, drilling, boring, tapping, of company parts while adhering to all safety features of the machines and plant.

Job Responsibilities:

• Measure and examine completed parts in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications
• Accepts, performs, and is accountable for efficiency and quality results of assigned duties
• Communicate all pertinent job information with co-workers at shift change
• Make available to maintenance, requested equipment for preventative maintenance
• Insure department process instructions are followed
• Insure shop safety rules and practices are followed

Job Qualifications:

• Minimum of High School Diploma
• 2+ years experience in a manufacturing environment with increasing levels of responsibility
• Experience operating basic machine shop equipment such as drills, mills, lathes, grinders, saws
• Experience operating 3, 4, 5 axis CNC machines (This is flexible if you haven't operated all of them)
• Basic programming
• Able to read and understand process work instructions and engineering drawings
• Basic math (add, sub, multi, div, decimals, fractions).
• Basic trigonometry
