Drafter

Must Haves:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year experience with Revit or AutoCAD, or equivalent proficiency.
• Ability to read a set of plans/drawings.
• Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams primarily).

Plusses

• Experience with BIM, Tekla, and 3D modeling.
• Experience creating bill of materials (BOM).

Day to Day:

Insight Global is hiring for Drafters for a top manufacturing client in Vacaville, CA. This role will be responsible for working different drafting schedules, reviewing customer drawings, reviewing calculations from engineering team, drawing the project itself and making revisions as needed. Additionally, they will create material lists together for the manufacturing team and assist in improving current procedures. Some responsibilities include:

• Effectively use Revit and AutoCAD to produce accurate CAD drawings of IMP structures and buildings according to generally accepted drafting and construction practices.
• Ability to modify and create Revit families and implement into Revit project template.
• Effectively and accurately complete assigned drafting and BoM tasks with guidance.
• Effectively produce basic/“box” projects with minimal unusual conditions or unusual product applications (e.g. horizontal, cold-storage, etc.) with few errors.
• Read and understand drafting schedule to determine priorities with the aid of Project Manager(s) and/or supervisor.
• Possess a basic understanding of construction engineering and use calculators/spreadsheets effectively and properly.
