Position Overview: As a Construction Estimator specializing in interiors, you will play a crucial role in accurately estimating the costs associated with interior construction and renovation projects. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing subcontractor relationships and procurement to ensure project success. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects and collaborate with a talented team of construction professionals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze project blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for interior construction and renovation projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and develop comprehensive bid proposals.
  • Manage the subcontractor bidding process, including soliciting bids, reviewing proposals, and negotiating contracts to ensure competitive pricing and alignment with project requirements.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to obtain pricing for materials, equipment, and labor, and incorporate this information into project estimates.
  • Utilize construction estimating software and tools to quantify materials, labor, equipment, and other project expenses accurately.
  • Prepare and present cost estimates, proposals, and value engineering options to clients and project stakeholders, demonstrating a thorough understanding of project scope and requirements.
  • Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and provide regular updates to project teams and senior management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Foster positive relationships with subcontractors and vendors, providing support and guidance as needed to ensure successful project outcomes.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction estimating, with a focus on interiors and subcontractor management.
  • Strong understanding of interior construction techniques, materials, and building codes.
  • Proven experience managing subcontractor relationships and procurement processes.
  • Proficiency in construction estimating software
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and quality in estimating practices.
