ESC has an exciting opportunity for an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Forms Creator, to design and implement electronic forms into our client’s new NetSmart EMR system used in their behavioral health setting. Your primary responsibility will be to utilize existing Word and pdf forms to develop intuitive, efficient, and compliant electronic forms that capture and organize patient information accurately within EMR systems.


Key Responsibilities:

Form Design and Development:

  • Collaborate with health and human services professionals and IT stakeholders to understand their specific documentation needs.
  • Utilize NetSmart EMR software to design electronic forms tailored to various medical applications, procedures, and workflows.
  • Ensure that electronic forms adhere to industry standards, regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA), and best practices for data security and privacy.


Customization and Optimization:

  • Customize existing EMR templates or create new EMR templates to transfer existing paper forms to electronic ones.
  • Optimize electronic forms to streamline data entry, reduce errors, and improve user experience for healthcare providers.


Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct thorough testing of electronic forms to validate functionality, data integrity, and interoperability with EMR systems.
  • Identify and address any issues or discrepancies in form design or functionality through troubleshooting and collaboration with software developers or IT support teams.


Documentation and Training:

  • Develop comprehensive documentation, user guides, and training materials to support healthcare professionals in using electronic forms effectively.
  • Provide training sessions or workshops to educate users on proper form completion, data entry protocols, and EMR system navigation.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in health information management, computer science, instructional design or a related field.
  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, or managing electronic forms or creating online forms; preferably within healthcare or EMR system.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment and adapt to evolving healthcare practices and technologies.
  • Ability to train onsite in Elkhorn, WI and work hybrid 2 days/week in office after training.
