We are looking for a UX Designer to help us enhance our wealth management client experience. This will enable us to scale our engagement with clients and create multi-channel growth opportunities, positioning us to become a leading provider for a new market. As a UX designer for this product, you will help design this new offering from the ground up.
The Wealth Management UX team builds digital experiences that help our clients manage their finances and monitor their investments easily. We design for two key user bases: our clients, and Financial Advisors, whose job it is to guide clients through financial milestones big and small. Our growing team of designers and researchers bring an entrepreneurial spirit to a leading global financial firm. Responsibilities:
· Working closely with the UX lead, help execute the product vision by being involved in every step of the end-to-end product design process
· Understand the underlying needs and motivation of our clients to ensure we achieve business goals and provide value to our clients
· Craft intuitive and elegant experiences that empower our clients to make confident financial decisions
· Work closely with our research team to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data and make value-driven design decisions that translate into clear, simple UIs
· Create and present a variety of design deliverables (sketches, wireframes, user flows and prototypes) in a way that engenders confidence in you and your solutions with the team and the greater organization
· Form holistic solutions that integrate seamlessly into our wealth management product ecosystem
· Design and deliver responsive/adaptive solutions that are optimized for web and mobile interfaces and partner with engineers to translate designs into successful products
· Work closely with the larger Wealth Management UX team to share design best practices, align on patterns, and promote a design-centric culture at the firm
· Advocate for all user abilities by thoroughly testing design deliverables to meet WCAG ADA compliance
Experience:
· Bachelors degree, or equivalent, in Accounting, Finance, or related business field
· A minimum of three to five years of investment accounting experience
· Prior experience in private equity/real estate or private equity/real estate fund of funds investment accounting is preferred but not required. Knowledge of hedge fund accounting and/or derivatives, or experience with Investran, is a plus.
Skills:
· You’ve spent 2+ years as a UX designer who was a key contributor to the success of products that have launched
· You have an outstanding portfolio that demonstrates how you have created experiences that solved business and user needs
· You have a bachelor's degree in design or related field preferably, master’s degree a plus
· You have excellent skills in Figma and Adobe CC
· You thrive in a collaborative, explorative environment and value being on a diverse team that you can bounce ideas off of, get critical feedback from, and unite with to mature design thinking within a large organization
· You practice active listening and contribute in group situations (i.e. brainstorms, audits, critiques, whiteboard sessions, etc.)
· You get excited by complex projects with high levels of ambiguity and are resilient in the face of obstacles
· You have a relentless desire to validate assumptions and uncover a problem’s root cause by testing, learning, and iterating
· You have a knack for balancing user goals, technology needs and business objectives and can clearly explain the rationale for your designs and how they achieve both
· You constantly seek opportunities to evangelize and promote design thinking in a large organization
· Work experience in Banking or Lending products is a plus
Education:
· Bachelor's degree in design or related field preferably, master’s degree a plus
