The Atlanta office of Balch & Bingham LLP has an immediate opening for a litigation paralegal. The candidate for this position will support trial attorney teams in the representation of clients in commercial litigation matters and tort defense matters. The ideal candidate will support the team during trial proceedings and the appellate stage for cases in state and federal courts and private arbitration.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file pleadings.
  • Organize and respond to discovery.
  • Coordinate depositions and hearings.
  • Effectively communicate with team members.
  • Research and respond to inquiries and requests for information.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with e-filing for all courts.
  • Experience with Westlaw for legal research.
  • Demonstrates a high degree of discretion, confidentiality, professionalism and judgment.
  • Ability to work with multiple attorneys and multi-task time sensitive assignments.
  • Knowledge of time entry through using a timekeeping software system.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Some overtime may be required.
  • A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which relevant knowledge and skills may be acquired and/or Certification as a Paralegal.
