Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cardiac-Interventional Radiologic Technologist to join our team of healthcare professionals
The ideal candidate will have specialized knowledge and expertise in cardiac-interventional radiography, performing a wide range of diagnostic and interventional procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions
This role plays a crucial part in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare facility.
Responsibilities:
  1. Cardiac-Interventional Procedures: Perform a variety of cardiac-interventional radiography procedures, including but not limited to cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, stent placements, and electrophysiology studies.
  2. Patient Care: Ensure the safety and comfort of patients throughout procedures, providing clear explanations, addressing concerns, and monitoring vital signs.
  3. Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain specialized radiologic equipment, including fluoroscopy machines, digital imaging systems, and other related technology.
  4. Radiation Safety: Adhere to radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and oneself.
  5. Image Quality: Produce high-quality diagnostic images, adjust equipment settings as needed, and troubleshoot technical issues to optimize image quality.
  6. Documentation: Accurately record patient information, procedure details, and radiation doses in electronic health records (EHR) or other documentation systems.
  7. Collaboration: Collaborate with cardiologists, interventional radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to plan and execute procedures effectively.
  8. Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies during procedures, including CPR and other life-saving measures.
  9. Continuing Education: Stay current with advances in cardiac-interventional radiography by attending relevant conferences, workshops, and training programs.
  10. Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities to maintain accreditation standards and ensure the safety and accuracy of procedures.
Qualifications:
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field
    Must be licensed and certified as a Radiologic Technologist.
  2. Certification: Certification in Cardiac-Interventional Radiography (CI) from a recognized certifying body (e.g., ARRT or CCI) is required.
  3. Experience: Previous experience as a Radiologic Technologist with a focus on cardiac-interventional radiography is preferred.
  4. Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating radiologic equipment, fluoroscopy machines, and digital imaging systems.
  5. Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
  6. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities to ensure accurate and high-quality images.
  7. Safety Awareness: Thorough understanding of radiation safety protocols and best practices.
  8. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Scheduled 40 hrs, guaranteed 36
BLS & ARRT required
AZ or multi-state license
Must have a minimum of 2 yrs of current Special Procedures Tech experience along with experience in a dual lab Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology environment
