Financial Analyst

Job Title: Financial Analyst

Reports to: CFO

Location: Boerne, TX

SUMMARY

Within the Finance & Accounting department of the Bank, the Financial Analyst produces and delivers meaningful, accurate, actionable, and timely financial analysis to Managers at all levels of the organization. The Financial Analyst will also be an integral part of the monthly accounting process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.     Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports for Senior Management and Board of Directors meetings;

2.     Work closely with the Chief Financial Officer as well as the Controller to manage and support all phases of the financial planning and budgeting process;

3.     Conduct financial modeling and analysis including graphing and reporting;

4.     Responsible for the day-to-day general ledger accounting and reconciliations, as well as financial reporting and analysis for assigned functional areas;

5.     Perform month-end accounting and consolidations as directed by the Controller;

6.     Lead the Accounts Payable function for the Bank;

7.     Conduct special ad hoc projects and financial analysis as directed by either the Controller or Chief Financial Officer;

8.     Perform general accounting operations as directed by the Controller.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

3-7 years of Finance and or accounting experience required.

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or economics preferred.

Banking experience highly preferred.

Skills

Strong understanding / working knowledge of finance & accounting principles and internal controls;

Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging fast paced environment;

Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint;

Intermediate financial modeling skills preferred;

Strong communication, analytical and data organization / interpretation skills;

Ability to anticipate and solve problems or resolve issues.

Certifications

None required.

Work Environment

Must be able to work under pressure and exhibit good judgment in making decisions pertaining to the overall health of the bank and its employees. Position requires extended periods of sitting and computer use. In addition, travel between bank branches and to customers and events is required.
