What the Role Offers - Maintenance Technician (I, II, or III)


The role of the Maintenance Technician (I, II, or III) in the facilities team is primarily responsible for equipment maintenance and work orders in the manufacturing area. The position also supports other functions as needed.


What You Need to Succeed


  • Respond to on-demand emergency & non-emergency work orders requested by Manufacturing.
  • Collaborates with Automation and Manufacturing and provides Mechanical assistance to support manufacturing and Clean-in-place (CIP) activities.
  • Maintains Work Order documentation within a CMMS.
  • Performs routine and preventative maintenance activities on critical manufacturing components such as diaphragm valves, mechanical seals and gaskets, instrumentation (pH, conductivity, MFC sensors).
  • Performs routine Water system Sanitization procedures (Clean Steam Sterilization and Hot water recirculation).
  • Uses hand tools, power tools, specialty service equipment to ensure appropriate service and performance of manufacturing equipment.
  • Follows all established safety practices and protocols, participates in improving safety mechanisms for all manufacturing equipment.
  • Manages external service vendors, supervises site visits and maintenance activities.
  • Collaborates with Operators, end users and Quality Assurance in equipment related investigations and root cause analysis
  • Participates in the development and preparation of required cGMP documentation for the engineering and facility projects as well as the ongoing facility, equipment and utility maintenance programs.
  • Ensure effective and compliant operations in accordance with site registrations, cGMP and environmental regulations and state requirements; acquire and maintain permits and certifications as necessary.
  • Effectively execute projects that improve quality and safety, reduce utility cost and risk, and ensure efficient and effective use of plant utility capabilities.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve processes and safety practices.


Required Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Increased knowledge and skills in engineering as it relates to biopharmaceutical manufacturing is desired.
  • Experience and/or degree in the engineering field will be considered for placement at a level higher than 1.


Physical Demands:


  • Adequate visual and mental acuity to maintain prolonged use of computer work.
  • Multiple hours of standing, sitting, or walking.
  • Ability to climb a ladder.
  • Ability to push, pull, lift up to 30 lbs unassisted


Mental Demands:


  • Self-directing, once training is successfully completed, but with need to immediately elevate potential concerns/discrepancies to management in a timely fashion.
  • Must maintain a professional demeanor in communicating with all Inventprise personnel.
  • Ability to tackle various tasks and switch pace based on priorities.


Working Conditions:


  • Onsite position in Redmond and Woodinville, WA. No remote or hybrid work is available for this position.
  • Extended periods of time on the computer.
  • Extended periods of time on your feet.
  • Working in a warm environment wearing sterile gowning.
  • Working with chemicals per standard operating procedure.


Estimated Base Salary: $30.00 - $40.87 Hourly DOE
