Job Description: We are seeking a seasoned Mechanical Preconstruction Manager with a strong background in Commercial Mechanical construction. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Estimating, Design Review, and managing the preconstruction process specifically related to Mechanical Piping, Plumbing, and Sheet Metal projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the daily operations of the Preconstruction department
- Collaborate closely with the estimating team to ensure accurate estimates
- Manage a team of Project Engineers
- Liaise with subcontractors on submittals and Request for Information (RFI)
- Negotiate subcontract buyouts
- Interpret and comprehend project specifications
- Develop master budgets and cost models for HVAC, Piping, and Plumbing
- Maintain and update cost databases
- Review and provide feedback on estimates from others
