Background: Salvona develops and manufactures microencapsulation technologies for topical cosmetic and dermatology applications. The products support brands that offer skin and hair care products, emphasizing treatment and repairing the skin. 


Job description: A Technology Biochemist/Sales professional is a hybrid role that combines scientific expertise with strong sales and marketing skills. The primary responsibility of this role is to promote and sell Salvona’s products, technologies, and solutions to customers in the cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries. The individual will use their technical knowledge and communication skills to understand customer needs, provide technical support, and drive sales growth.


Key Responsibilities:


  1. Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of Salvona’s products, technologies, and solutions.  
  2. Sales and Business Development: Identify potential customers and key decision-makers in target industries. Generate leads, conduct market research, and build a sales pipeline. Actively pursue new business opportunities and work towards achieving sales targets and revenue goals.
  3. Customer Engagement: Engage with customers to understand their scientific and technical requirements. Provide technical expertise and product knowledge to address customer inquiries and tailor solutions to their needs.
  4. Product Demonstrations and Presentations: Conduct product demonstrations, webinars, and presentations to showcase the benefits and applications of the company's products and technologies. Articulate complex scientific concepts clearly and understandably to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  5. Relationship Building: Build strong, long-lasting relationships with customers, key opinion leaders, and industry partners. Understand customer feedback and communicate it to internal teams for product improvement and development.
  6. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure a cohesive approach to customer satisfaction and sales growth.
  7. Trade Shows and Conferences: Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and scientific events. Engage with potential customers, promote products, and network with key stakeholders.


Qualifications and Requirements:


  1. Bachelors or Masters in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or a related field.
  2. Proven track record in sales or business development within the biotechnology or life sciences industry.
  3. Strong technical knowledge and understanding of skin/hair care and utilization of microspheres.
  4. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
  5. Results-driven with a focus on achieving sales targets and business objectives.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify customer needs and provide appropriate solutions.
  7. Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  8. Flexibility to travel for customer visits, conferences, and industry events as required.
