Worker’s Compensation Legal Assistant


West Ft. Lauderdale busy Plaintiff Law firm is expanding and seeking a Full-Time Workers’ Compensation Legal Assistant to become part of our team. Must be bilingual in English and Spanish. The ideal candidate would have 2+ years minimum experience. We are seeking a personable individual with a positive attitude to assist with cases from inception to closure. Increased responsibility and growth is available based on individual accomplishments and firm needs. Salary commensurate with experience. 


Job Highlights:


-       Assist with cases from inception to closure


-       Drafting and typing routine correspondence


-       Taking and making calls with clients, attorneys and staff, adjusters, court representatives, medical providers, and other individuals


-       Communicate with individuals via e-mail


-       Scheduling and coordinating appointments, meetings, phone conferences, depositions, and hearings


-       Preparing of pleadings including. but not limited to notices, motions, hearings, requests to produce, subpoenas as well as E- filings


-       Perform filing, organizing, and maintaining files


-       Conduct faxing, scanning, and copying


-       Misc. office tasks


Qualifications:


-       Must be bilingual in English and Spanish


-       We require 2+years minimum experience


-       Motivated, organized, and detail orientated individual


-       Able to work well in a busy environment both independently and as a team player


-       Excellent communication skills, verbally and written, being professional and courteous


-       Ability to multi-task and be flexible with priority of work tasks


-       Great time/task management skills


-       Ability to work on site in office with a commitment of 36.25 hours a week


-       Experience and working knowledge in using computers and office equipment
