Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Bankruptcy Attorney with expertise in IP litigation to join our dynamic team in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in bankruptcy law, particularly Chapter 11 reorganizations, and a proven track record in handling IP litigation matters. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex bankruptcy cases involving intellectual property assets and collaborate with a team of talented attorneys to achieve successful outcomes for our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading and managing bankruptcy cases, with a focus on Chapter 11 reorganizations
  • Providing strategic legal advice and counsel to clients on bankruptcy and IP litigation matters
  • Representing clients in bankruptcy court proceedings, hearings, and negotiations
  • Handling all aspects of IP litigation cases, including infringement disputes, licensing agreements, and trade secret litigation
  • Conducting legal research and analysis on bankruptcy and IP law issues
  • Drafting and reviewing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements
  • Collaborating with partners and other team members to develop innovative legal strategies
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and industry stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the State Bar of Texas
  • 7+ years of experience practicing bankruptcy law, with a focus on Chapter 11 reorganizations
  • Substantial experience in IP litigation, including trademark, copyright, and patent disputes
  • Strong understanding of bankruptcy and IP law, regulations, and procedures
  • Excellent written and oral advocacy skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex legal matters independently
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
