The Network Engineer is responsible for handling service requests that have either been assigned directly or have been escalated by a T1, to go onsite with clients and resolve issues and to work on upgrades and configuration projects at client sites. The work involves mostly networking and windows.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Meets company goals related to efficiency, quality, training/development, and customer satisfaction

Be active and involved in Teams being able to offer quick insights for T1 as to help them when needed, or to empower them to feel more comfortable with escalating a ticket

Completes assigned tickets in an expeditious and effective manner

Troubleshoots end user issues with PCs, applications, related peripherals (software, printers, and scanners)

Installs, deploys, and repairs hardware and software on client sites

Coordinates with vendors and acts as a vendor liaison when needed

Communicates with clients as required, keeping them informed of ticket progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages in a kind and caring manner

Documents internal processes and procedures related to duties and responsibilities

Performs assigned tasks in support of client projects

Enters time and expenses in ConnectWise by following our documented procedure

Participates in the On-Call rotation as defined in On Call Procedure

Performs other duties as assigned

Achieves and maintains training and certifications

Advanced level troubleshooting skills

Real-Time ticket entry

Interpersonal skills: telephony skills, communication skills, active listening, and customer-care

Service awareness of all organization’s key IT services for which support is being provided

Understanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide IT services

Self-manage calendar schedule for meetings, appointments with clients, ticket loads and other items

Sets an example by maintaining a positive attitude and drive for fostering work relationships with coworkers

Qualifications (not all required)

College degree in Information Systems or Computer Science

Prior experience with ConnectWise, or similar PSA

Possible certifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Server+

Microsoft Windows, O365, M365 Messaging, M365 Security Administration

MS Azure

MS SQL Server

StorageCraft, SonicWall

Would be a plus to have experience with coming up with project sizing and estimates in support of sales
