Term: 6-12 Months


Rate: $50 - $60 per hour


About the Company: Our client is a leading consumer electronics company based in Boston, MA, known for designing innovative products that enhance the usability of household products. They are currently seeking an experienced Hardware Design Engineer to join their dynamic team on a 6-12 month contract basis in Boston.


Responsibilities:


  • Designing and developing electronic circuitry for consumer electronic products.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and integrate hardware designs into overall system architecture.
  • Conducting schematic capture, component selection, and layout design using industry-standard tools.
  • Performing analysis, simulation, and testing of hardware designs to ensure performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize design processes and enhance product quality.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in electronic hardware/PCB design, preferably in the consumer electronics industry.
  • Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout design using tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design, signal integrity, and EMC/EMI considerations.
  • Experience with consumer electronic product development and design for manufacturability (DFM) principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
