Peoria-Delivery Driver (Union)Connor Co., a company rich in history, currently has an available Delivery Driver position in Peoria, IL. Candidates must be able to work Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. An 8-hour shift is guaranteed; however, the start and end times may vary. The delivery driver position is unionized and will be eligible for the Teamsters' benefits package.
Principal Accountabilities:Loads the delivery truck with the product securely to avoid damageDelivers items by identifying destinations, establishing a route, operating the truck, unloading items, and maintaining the schedulePicks up returns items for the companyVerifies products delivered against the packing slip and has the customer sign the receiptServes customers by understanding and resolving or forwarding complaintsEnhances the organization's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requestsProcess inbound materials to the warehouse. Compares quantities shown on the packing slip or manifests with actual items receivedEfficient and effective loading and unloading of trucksInspects items according to instructions and reports damaged goodsEnsures materials are placed in the designated area within the warehouseStacks skids or pallets in designated areas. Cleans up and disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping, and places them in the proper container or designated areaGeneral housekeeping:sweeping, mopping, dustingPerform other duties as requestedMinimum Education/Experience Required:High School Diploma required, or its equivalentValid Illinois Class C driver's license and clean driving record requiredKnowledge, Skills, Abilities Required:Critical thinker-using logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutionsMathematical reasoning

Conditions:
Normal warehouse environmentExposure to varying weather conditions and temperatures in the warehouse and on the loading dock.
Physical strength must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly, and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
