They will need to decipher handwriting, decide on spellings, use common sense and experience to read messy handwriting, and follow state guidelines on when/how to enter a name.
Additionally, they will need to be able to handle exceptions, which are invalid names that were not automatically processed.
Requirements:
Touch typist only Fluent in reading and writing English; must be familiar with common names and spellings Able to read cursive handwriting Must be computer savvy and understand universal computer commands Experience in data entry is a plus but not always required if the candidate has other strong skills Must be a critical thinker Have deductive reasoning skills Detail-oriented Basic math skills
