Our client is an established owner/operator & developer of commercial office spaces headquartered in New York City with a portfolio of assets across a number of key USA cities. With 4 key Commercial Office assets in San Francisco, an exciting newly created role has opened up for a Construction Manager with a Commercial Office Tenant Improvement and CAPEX background to join the team. The role will be to manage a portfolio of construction tenant improvement & CAPEX projects and to support the Property Management operations with oversight of building operations, including interaction with building engineering staff, evaluation of programmed maintenance programs and procedures, operation and maintenance of building systems and supervision of repair projects.


Your new role

As the Construction Manager based in San Francisco, your key duty will be to manage a portfolio of Tenant Improvement & CAPEX projects with typical values ranging from $200k - $5m. You will manage the projects from start to close with responsibility for permitting, scheduling, budgeting, billing, construction & close out. You will procure Design Consultants, Architects, Engineers, General Constructors & other specialty consultants as needed for assigned construction projects. You will be on site daily to monitor project progress across 3 of the building assets. You will also interact daily with the Property Management teams to coordinate maintenance and repair projects on these working buildings.


What you'll need to succeed

A Degree in Construction Management or related discipline with 4-10 years’ experience as a Project Manager or Construction Manager within recent Tenant Improvement or CAPEX project experience on commercial office real estate. The ability to juggle a portfolio of multiple projects at any one time with budgets ranging from $200k up to $5m. You must be skilled in providing a physical assessment of a property and identifying areas for upgrades, maintenance & repairs. IT Savvy proficient with MS Office projects. You must be a self-starter, organized with excellent communication and team collaboration skills to engage with all levels within the organization.
