Ensure top-tier product quality and drive process improvements as a Quality Engineer in a collaborative manufacturing environment.


The Quality Engineer is responsible for analyzing acute and chronic issues related to components and finished goods, identifying machining and assembly process concerns, and recommending corrective actions. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to address quality challenges, developing and maintaining quality procedures, and ensuring compliance with internal and external specifications and requirements. The Quality Engineer plays a vital role in upholding process adherence and improving overall product quality.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Align quality objectives with other departments and support compliance with Business Operating System (BOS).
  • Develop and maintain quality procedures, control plans, and inspection plans to meet IATF 16949 and customer requirements.
  • Provide technical input during product development, design reviews, process validations, and manufacturability assessments.
  • Compile product and process validation documentation, including PPAP submissions, in accordance with AIAG and customer specifications.
  • Monitor customer portals for PPAP submissions, claims, and scorecards based on assignments.
  • Support internal, external, and customer audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Analyze drive shaft and part assembly concerns, verifying specifications and tolerances through audits.
  • Coordinate problem-solving efforts using tools such as 8D, 5Y, and Ishikawa diagrams.
  • Maintain departmental records and ensure adherence to ISO 14001 commitments.
  • Exercise authority to hold or stop product shipments if they fail to meet quality standards.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.


Preferred Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of IATF 16949 standards and customer requirements.
  • Familiarity with AIAG documentation and PPAP processes.
  • Proficiency in quality tools such as 8D, 5Y, and Ishikawa diagrams.
