Job Description:

As a Maintenance Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our maintenance systems within the medical device industry. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing, monitoring, and maintaining the effectiveness of documentation within the work order maintenance systems, including preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and maintenance demand work orders.
  • Conducting field checks on work orders to plan sequences of operations, materials, priorities, equipment, and trades time required for job completion.
  • Estimating time for work orders, preparing schematics or rough sketches, material lists, and specific tools necessary for safety precautions and work completion, while developing maintenance labor standards for various maintenance tasks.
  • Requisitioning and ordering repair parts from vendors for non-stock parts or coordinating with the stockroom for key stock parts in low reserve to minimize line downtime.
  • Coordinating the delivery of spare parts from vendors through the most expeditious route and ensuring proper storage within the plant.
  • Monitoring, updating, and maintaining all existing plant maintenance systems, such as preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance tasks, as well as scheduled work orders.
  • Timely communication with customers regarding requested work and equipment availability, and coordination with appropriate shifts to ensure required work is completed within available timeframes.
  • During weekends, holidays, off-shifts, and annual planned maintenance, utilizing planning skills to assist as a site engineer and coordinating the work of outside contractors and/or plant tradesmen in plant projects as approved by the Maintenance Manager or Maintenance Supervisor.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with Maximo and SAP systems.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Knowledge of maintenance procedures and standards.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
