Title: Laboratory Technician

Location: Woodland, CA, 95695

Duration: 03 months contract (with possible extension)

Description:

· Lead high volume sample preparation activities, data entry, and quantitative analyses of fruits and vegetables.

· Assists with new project set up and follow up. Weighs and extracts samples for analytical procedures.

· Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform all activities.

· May perform additional laboratory technical and housekeeping tasks.


Responsibilities:

· Processing fruits, sampling, aliquoting, running analytical equipment

· Liquid handler and other instrumentation.

· Entry level data management.

· Candidates must have basic computer skills, be reliable, accurate and able to handle repetitive tasks.

· Activities may require lifting, bending and long periods of standing.

· Works under immediate supervision in a fast paced- team oriented environment.


Skill & Competency Requirements:

· Laboratory Experience

· Communication

· Time management


Education:

· BS preferred, High School/Some College


Preferable experiences:

· 2 years of laboratory experience is required
