We have an opportunity for a dynamic, self-motivated person to join our Manufacturing team as a Production Planner. As a Production Planner you should be knowledgeable of ERP/MRP management of material requirements, planning and an ability to manage production deadlines. You will be maintaining a master schedule in our ERP system in consultation with management, ensuring all materials are stocked and ordered according to Bill of Materials, and overseeing the workflow of the production facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Update and maintain the Production schedule in our ERP software.
  • Evaluating purchase orders and BOM’s to create suitable production schedules.
  • Working with varied departments to ensure the amount of material, equipment, and labor required for production is accurate.
  • Coordinating production operations in accordance with material, labor, and equipment availability.
  • Recommending viable solutions to reduce production costs as well as improve production processes and product quality.
  • Promptly informing the relevant departments and supervisors of changes to current production schedules.
  • Work with all team departments to resolve any identified discrepancies and compile appropriate changes to documents.
  • Prepare and provide production documentation upon request.
  • Support and implement processes and tools to provide system reports.
  • Perform production specific procurement duties related to critical materials
  • Purchase production specific tooling and supplies as needed
  • Work with supply chain to ensure shortage are addressed that impact production
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Education and Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in a Manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business management, or related field is preferred.
  • Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) accreditation or other relevant certification preferred.
  • Proven experience working as a production planner.
  • Experience in writing and proofing documentation.
  • JobBoss ERP experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite for Business preferred.
  • Sound knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) and related software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent technology, verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.
  • A demonstrated excellence in time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
