Role Overview:

The ETL Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing ETL processes using SAP BODS (BusinessObjects Data Services). This role involves working on data conversion, migration, and warehousing projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to technical specifications.


Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement ETL processes in SAP BODS for data extraction and provisioning from various legacy systems.

Develop Dataflows and mappings, employing necessary transformations to meet project requirements.

Create, manage, and enhance the ETL Pipeline within the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDWH) environment.

Validate ETL code and conduct unit testing using SQL queries.

Utilize BODS performance tuning techniques to optimize job performance.

Debug execution errors using Data Services logs and resolve issues promptly.

Collaborate in preparing technical design documents and test plans as per Data Warehouse Lifecycle.


Must-Have Skills:

Proficiency in SAP Data Services with hands-on experience in designing and implementing ETL pipelines.

Strong understanding of RDBMS (Relational Database Management Systems).

Ability to manage risks, issues, and dependencies effectively while ensuring timely delivery.

Familiarity with SAP Data Services architecture and its components.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.


Nice-to-Have Skills:

Knowledge of integrating third-party APIs and Python scripting language.

Understanding of Sales Force backend processes is advantageous.

Familiarity with Cloud Platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure, etc.).


Professional Attributes:

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.

Effective presentation skills.


Location:

Candidates can work remotely, subject to supervisor's instructions. However, occasional office visits may be required based on company policies.
