CFS Columbus is excited to partner with a local non-profit association to fill an upcoming vacancy in their finance department due to retirement. The AVP of Finance plays a valuable role in the day-to-day success of this association in addition to its long-term stability. We are seeking an experienced leader in the same or similar field to join this exceptional group where its team combined has over 160 years of tenure with the organization.
SNAPSHOT OF DUTIES
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining the financial reporting system that allows the organization to monitor its goals and objectives.
  • Oversight of the administration, review, and reconciliation of the organization's portfolio, asset/liability management system, and other financial activities.
  • Participation in the overall financial and strategic planning for the organization and fostering a positive working environment for employee empowerment through coaching and support
  • Regularly attend board meetings

PREFERRED BACKGROUND
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance (MBA and/or CPA preferred but not required)
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a management or supervisory role
  • Extensive working knowledge of GAAP
  • A clear understanding of financial institution accounting department functions
  • Effective and professional communication skills verbal, written, and visual while also maintaining detailed organization skills and must be tech-savvy.
