The Role

Looking for a candidate with hands-on experience and expertise on Java, Spring , SpringBoot, REST API, Angular, Cache Framework (like Aerospike) with knowledge on AWS cloud..



The Purpose of This Role

Workplace Investing (WI) technology team is seeking highly motivated, passionate Lead Full Stack Developer with good understanding of programming fundamentals and software design. In this role you will be responsible for development and maintenance of applications of critical platforms. As a lead, you will be part of a dynamic team with an opportunity to partner closely with the business and technology teams across the shores and will be a key enabler in creation/adoption of the technology.

Actively participate in release planning, daily stand up as well as working & helping team with tactical activities like Java Development, code review, performance tuning, bug fix, design optimization etc. Recommending and following the best engineering practices. Building quality solutions that align with the technology blueprint and standard processes to tackle business problems by driving design, development, and ongoing support.



The Skills that are Key to this role

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, Information Technology
  • 6+ years of software product experience working on commercially available software
  • Strong hands-on experience in API Design/Development.
  • Real passion for development and preferably part of a team that has dynamic, high-volume data platform
  • Hands-on experience working in Java, Spring framework, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, JSON, Swagger, Relational and Non Rational database system, Caches, etc.
  • Experience with DevOps and CI/CD (Maven, Stash, Docker, Jenkins, Sonar)
  • Experience building cloud-hosted (AWS, Azure) applications.
  • Developing multi-tier internet facing web applications with Angular, Typescript, Node.js, HTML5, CSS is a plus.
  • Strong design thinking and solutioning ability to provide optimal solutions for complex data transformation use cases.
  • Proven experience in writing complex SQL queries on Oracle (AWS) and performance optimization for large data volumes.
  • Hands-on experience building and deploying applications using a variety of Amazon Web Services (primarily Cloud Formation, serverless, compute, container and database services)
  • Excellent communicator to both technical and non-technical data players to ensure common understanding of design to streamline and optimize data enablement.
  • Prior experience working in Agile software development environments, with demonstrable ability to convert user stories into delivery work that provides incremental, iterative delivery of business value.
  • Hands-on Development experience in Informatica PowerCenter good to have.
  • Exposure to Control M, GitHub, Artifactory, Jenkins Core.
  • Having knowledge Aerospike, snowflake is preferred.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Good Email Communication and handshake/Status call etiquettes.
  • Creative, energetic, assertive hands-on professional who enjoys the challenge of change.
  • Exposure to Finance and Market is preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills along with a good attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform independent technical analysis on complex projects.
  • High level of commitment, initiative, vision and enthusiasm.

The candidate that will take on this role will join a highly motivated teams to be part of an innovative solutions and modernization of some of Fidelity customer facing applications. The teams are part of the investment platforms in Workplace Solutions which helps our customers save and invest through workplace retirement savings plans, build lifetime relationships with customers and provide employers with cost-effective, integrated employee benefit solutions. WS serves customers online, over the phone, and through a nationwide network of investor centers. WS is also committed to helping drive employee retirement readiness by delivering leading-edge financial solutions to employers, including recordkeeping, cash management products and services and personal advisory services (PAS).
