I am partnered with a leading player in the energy industry, committed to innovation, sustainability, and excellence. My client provide vital design and manufacturing services in to Power Generation, Oil & Gas and Renewable fields. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a talented Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team.


As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems within our energy projects. You will lead and contribute to various aspects of engineering design, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This position offers the opportunity to work on challenging projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and make a significant impact in the energy sector.


What you'll be doing:

  • Develop detailed engineering designs, specifications, and drawings for mechanical systems, with a focus on Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).
  • Lead the design and layout of piping systems, equipment selection, and integration of mechanical components.
  • Conduct technical analysis, feasibility studies, and risk assessments to optimize design solutions and mitigate potential issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including process engineers, project managers, and procurement specialists, to ensure project objectives are met within schedule and budget constraints.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements to enhance design practices and project outcomes in the changing world of energy production.


What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Proven experience in mechanical engineering roles, with a focus on Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).
  • Strong proficiency in engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead engineering projects from conception to completion, with a track record of delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Professional engineering licensure (PE) or willingness to obtain licensure preferred.
