Job Title: IT Project Manager

Location: St. Louis, MO

Type: 3-month Contract-to-Hire (CTH)

Conversion Salary: $90-105K (USD), finalized upon offer

Project: Sunrise Data Warehouse Project

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled IT Project Manager to oversee and execute the Sunrise Data Warehouse Project. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of IT project management methodologies, particularly ITIL and Scrum, with a strong emphasis on data management. The Project Manager will lead the team, plan project communication strategies, and ensure the successful delivery of project milestones.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning & Communication:
  • Create and implement project communication plans.
  • Establish project goals, responsibilities, expectations, risks, and feedback.
  • Set and manage customer and stakeholder expectations for the project.
  • Maintain consistent communication with stakeholders, sponsors, and project resources.
  1. Project Execution & Monitoring:
  • Develop and manage project charters, budgets, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and other plan components.
  • Identify resources, negotiate roles, and assign responsibilities.
  • Track project progress using standard metrics for schedule, scope, and budget.
  1. Stakeholder Management:
  • Build relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments.
  • Influence decision-making by securing acceptance and approval from key stakeholders.
  • Lead and motivate project teams to meet deadlines and customer satisfaction expectations.
  1. Risk Management:
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Resolve project-related problems efficiently with team engagement.
  1. Process Improvement & Leadership:
  • Conduct lessons learned sessions and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members.
  • Actively participate in PM Community of Practice.
  1. Budget Management:
  • Collaborate with the project owner to establish project budgets.
  • Monitor costs, forecast, and identify/manage budget risks.


Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of data warehouse management.
  • Proficient in ITIL and Scrum methodologies.
  • Demonstrated project management skills in analysis, negotiation, and team leadership.
  • Ability to manage project environments using metrics and tools like MS Project.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree with 4 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
  • PMP or MPM certification is preferred.
  • Proven experience in matrix management, clinical IT support, and Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to manage complex projects involving new service delivery.


Preferred Experience:

  • Managing projects in higher education or healthcare environments.
  • Providing leadership in matrix organizations involving cross-functional teams.
