Essential Job Duties:

Donor Transportation:

  • Safely transport Donor Bus and staff between the Medical Center and mobile activities.
  • Adhere to specified time frames, ensuring punctuality and efficiency.

Event Support:

  • Assist in the setup and teardown of mobile sites, including tables, chairs, and bus amenities.
  • Attend to donor needs post-donation in the canteen area, fostering a positive experience.

Logistical Management:

  • Maintain a detailed daily transportation log, recording mileage, gas usage, and relevant activities.
  • Monitor supply levels, check expiration dates, and rotate stock in processing and canteen areas.

Blood Processing:

  • Follow laboratory protocol to discontinue the phlebotomy process on blood donors.
  • Prepare, process, and store blood units according to established guidelines.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Embrace Lean Thinking principles, actively seeking innovative ways to enhance job performance.
  • Proactively identify and contribute to additional work-related tasks during low census periods.

Team Collaboration and Professionalism:

  • Foster inter- and intradepartmental cooperation to maintain smooth workflow.

Educational/Experience Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.


Required License/Certifications:

  • Current MD State commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a driving record of no more than two (2) points.


Preferred:

  • Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification.
  • Medical assistance or phlebotomy certification.
