The Club seeks a hospitality professional with strong food and beverage expertise in upscale, high-end cuisine, extensive wine knowledge, and experience in multi facility oversight in private club environments. The ideal candidate will have experience with the H2B visa program and a national network for staffing growth. The Food & Beverage Director is ultimately responsible for all club property food & beverage service operations daily, including its activities, dining options, budget creation, financial success, and relationships between club members, guests, and employees. The Club is currently in the building stages of multiple clubhouses that include additions to all Food and Beverage outlets. Director of Food & Beverage Position Overview
APOGEE seeks a collaborative, high performing, achievement-oriented Food & Beverage Director pursuing an exceptional opportunity to excel at the highest level. A primary objective is for the Food & Beverage Director to be highly visible and interactive. The relationship with the executive leadership team is particularly important to this position, ensuring collective and harmonious relationships between front and back-of-house operations. The Food and Beverage Director will lead a team that includes a mix of experienced hospitality professionals and those newer to the industry, all dedicated to consistently creating memorable and unique member experiences that reflect the club's mission.
Key Responsibilities
· Oversee all food and beverage operations across multiple clubhouses, ensuring a seamless and high-quality dining experience
· Recruit, train, and supervise food & beverage service staff, management staff, with focus on member and guest service excellence and staff development
· Develop and manage annual budgets, including P&L responsibility, cost controls, and forecasting across multiple clubhouses
· Implement and maintain service and quality standards across dining rooms, lounges, banquets, and events
· Lead the planning, execution, and follow-through of events, including tournaments, banquets, and special dining events
· Collaborate with executive leadership and department heads to maintain a cohesive and efficient operation
· Build strong vendor relationships and ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards
· Use the H2B program and national staffing network for seasonal hiring to meet labor demands during peak times
· Be a collaborative team player who is willing to be “hands-on” when necessary but understands when to step back and lead the team
Candidate Qualifications
· Proven food and beverage management experience overseeing multi facility private club environments
· An individual with deep beverage experience/knowledge
· Ability to manage and motivate personnel with a passion for training team members
· Excellent communication and leadership skills
· Knowledge and experience with the H2B visa program and a national network for staffing growth
Education and Certification Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Hospitality Management or related field
Certified Club Manager designation through CMAA or in pursuit of this
Minimum of 5 years of Management experience in a high-volume, high end, multi facility club operation
Salary and Benefits
Salary is open and commensurate with qualifications and experience. APOGEE offers an excellent bonus and benefits package.
