Job Title: .Net Applications Developer
Duration: 8-month contract This position have the opportunity for an extension.
Location: Portland, OR (hybrid)
The .Net Applications Developer on the GIS team will play a crucial role in the ArcGIS/ArcFM 10.8.1 upgrade project. Collaborating closely with a small, agile team of Developers, a Business Systems Analyst (BSA), and a QA Lead, the focus will be on developing custom C# code (ArcObjects/ArcFM SDK) and ensuring smooth integration between various systems. Primary responsibilities include programming, software development, application support, incident and problem management, systems design, and integration.
Position Responsibilities:
Designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting complex programs and scripts using C#, ArcObjects/ArcFM SDK, and Python, adhering to agreed specifications and standards
Maintaining application support processes, investigating issues, collecting performance statistics, and creating reports using application management software.
Prioritizing, diagnosing, and resolving incidents according to agreed procedures, escalating unresolved issues, and facilitating recovery.
Initiating and monitoring actions to investigate and resolve system problems, assisting with the implementation of remedies and preventative measures.
Recommending and designing structures and tools for systems, translating logical designs into physical designs, and producing detailed documentation.
Defining integration builds, accepting software modules, producing software builds, configuring hardware environments, and conducting integration tests.
Position Requirements:
B.S. degree in Computer Science (or simillar).
5+ years of relevant experience.
Proficiency in C#, .NET, ASP.NET Development, and Microsoft Visual Studio.
Experience with ArcObjects/ArcFM custom code development.
Strong working experience with ArcGIS Suites (Desktop/Pro, ArcSDE, ArcGIS Enterprise, etc.) and ArcFM Suites (Designer, Session Manager, etc.).
Database and SQL experience (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.).
Familiarity with geostatistical analysis, geoprocessing, and geocoding tools.
Experience managing data services and integrations between record-keeping systems and GIS.
Development experience on multiple platforms including Windows and Linux.
Good knowledge of Electric Utilities.
Intermediate customer-focus, accuracy, risk-management, and organizational skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment under Scrum/Agile methodology.
