A leader in within the US Biotechnology space are in search of a highly motivated Principle Scientist to join our NGS Department. This Principle Scientist will collaborate closely with various research groups, scientists, and upper management to pioneer world-class Next Generation Sequencing technologies catering to RNA, DNA, epigenetics, and microbiome analyses.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Conceptualize, evaluate feasibility, and oversee the execution of R&D projects.
  • Provide comprehensive project information for initial reviews including project drafts, customer needs assessment, resource requirements, and market analysis.
  • Obtain CSO approval before project initiation and significant strategy alterations.
  • Contribute effectively within multidisciplinary teams and independently as required.
  • Foster transparent communication with team members, upper management, and across departments.
  • Supervise Research Associates and Interns, delegating tasks and ensuring project documentation compliance.
  • Contribute to the development of commercial strategies for existing and newly developed NGS products.


Requirements:


  • Strong scientific background, particularly in NGS, molecular biology, with proficiency in bioinformatics.
  • Ph.D. degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Immunology, Biology, or related field.
  • Proficiency in genomics, bioinformatics, and NGS sequencing data analysis.
  • Minimum of two first-author scientific publications and two second or third author publications.
  • Demonstrated excellence in written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with a customer-centric communication style.
  • Prior industrial experience preferred but not required.


Compensation:


The anticipated annual salary for this role ranges from $100,000 to $180,000 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be outlined in the offer letter, considering factors such as geographic location, experience, skills, and other job-related considerations.
