We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner

The Role

Design, implement, and maintain database systems across multiple platforms (Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
Ensure high availability, performance tuning, and security of databases
Collaborate with developers, engineers, and stakeholders on data architecture and issue resolution
Implement and test backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
Manage database security, including user access and compliance
Automate routine administrative tasks using scripting tools like PowerShell, Bash, and Python

What You'll Need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience
1-3+ years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL in a production environment
Expertise in database installation, configuration, and performance tuning
Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex database issues
Proficiency with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation
Working knowledge of Microsoft ETL processes, including SSIS and SSRS
